ACG Sunderland continues to demonstrate academic excellence, with students achieving outstanding results in the 2024 Cambridge Examinations. This year’s award recipients have once again proven the school’s commitment to fostering exceptional talent and academic success.

The Cambridge Outstanding Learner Awards recognise students who achieve the highest marks in their Cambridge International examinations, both nationally and globally. ACG Sunderland is proud to celebrate the achievements of its top-performing students.

 

Top in the World

A prestigious ‘Top in the World’ award was earned by Anya Thurner for her exceptional performance in Cambridge International AS Level Classical Studies in the November 2024 examination series. This incredible accomplishment places Anya among the highest-achieving students worldwide, reflecting both her dedication and the school’s strong academic program.

 

Top in New Zealand

Two ACG Sunderland students have been recognised as the best in the country in their respective subjects:

  • Anna-Maree Kathleen Schonknecht – Top in New Zealand for Cambridge International AS Level English General Paper
  • Maia Lucy Darracott-Cankovic – Top in New Zealand for Cambridge International AS Level Marine Science

These national-level accolades highlight the outstanding academic talent within ACG Sunderland and the school’s commitment to excellence across a diverse range of subjects.
